Pet Services, Pop-up Cafes and much more to enjoy

Join us on Wednesday 18th May 2022 at Holy Trinity Church Abbots Leigh at 6.30pm

Holy Trinity has started to become more Eco friendly and has recently been awarded a bronze award by Rocha UK’s award scheme for churches in England and Wales.

You are invited to attend an informal meeting on Wednesday 18th May 2022 at Holy Trinity Church Abbots Leigh at 6.30pm to hear more about how biodiversity may be developed in the Churchyard.

The guest speaker will be Sarah Pitt, a local resident who has spent decades making wildlife films for the BBC Natural History Unit and who now focuses on building biodiversity through habitat creation as a Wildlife Gardening Advisor. Sarah has kindly produced a report on how to bring more Biodiversity to the churchyard which she will present to the meeting. This will be a short talk with a walk around the Churchyard afterwards.

A swift nesting box has now been installed in the church tower: more information will be available about these remarkable birds at the event.

We are now at the stage where we have opportunities for families and individuals to help by getting involved either as volunteers or sponsors. This might involve planting shrubs and wildflowers or helping build an insect hotel in the churchyard. We are also hoping to promote wildlife gardening more generally in the village by organising further related talks and supporting the development of resources.

Please do join us at this meeting: there is no need to book a place. Refreshments will be provided.  Please rsvp to:  for an indication of numbers.
